THE sun shone down on a family fun day last weekend in aid of a cancer charity.
The Chicken Ranch pub in Stoke Road, Britwell hosted a fun-filled family day on Good Friday.
The event has raised a total of £1,200 so far, but they are still collecting funds that will go to Macmillan Cancer Support.
In the evening a charity hair shave raised half the funds for the day.
Landlord Mary Knight said: "It was amazing, everybody was so overwhelmed.
"It was something that was planned prior to the event and just made it that extra bit special."
There were around 100 attendees in the day and about the same amount at night.
The day consisted of children's activities including a BBQ, a bouncy castle, face painting and an ice cream van whilst the night time turned to an adult only disco.
Mrs Knight added: "The whole community came together. The people we got in to host the activities gave us a share of their profit to go towards the charity.
"It was a lovely event and we hope to make it a regular thing. We want to do a summer fun day in August to raise money for the same charity."
