A hunt has begun for the owner of an ebook reader that was left on a Reading bus last month.

An Amazon Kindle was left on school bus 981 on November 4, and has sat collecting dust for five weeks.

Reading Buses bosses are now searching for its owner - believed to have a first name of Alice.

Marketing and communications manager Jake Osman said: “We know that the owner’s first name is Alice – or at least the device says that it is called ‘Alice’s Kindle’.

“It has a very distinctive case and some of the books contained on it include the Hunger Games, a collection of books by Lauren Child and some more traditional books such as Oliver Twist and Treasure Island.

“We would like to trace the owner and get it back to them so that they have it back in time for Christmas.”

“If Alice is found, she can claim the device by coming to our Great Knollys Street depot with some identification and a description of the distinctive case.”

Anybody connected with the ebook reader can contact the Reading Buses offices by calling 0118 959 4000.
