The former Dr Who actor is believed to have been filming in and around the town centre for the second series of the gritty crime drama.
Filming trucks believed to belong to broadcaster ITV have been spotted parked outside Rivermead Leisure Centre, in Richfield Avenue, while it has been rumoured filming has taken place at town centre locations including Reading prison.
Tennant plays Detective Inspector Alec Hardy, an experienced city cop who is hired alongside local sergeant Ellie Miller, played by Olivia Colman, to investigate the murder of an 11-year-old boy in quiet Dorset seaside town Broachurch.
