RESIDENTS can plan their car journey more effectively after the council installed new CCTV cameras at 20 busy traffic junctions around the Royal Borough.
The cameras were installed in the run-up to the Olympic events being held at Eton Dorney to help officers manage the flow of traffic, but the information is now being published on its website.
Counillor Phill Bicknell, cabinet member for highways, transport and environment, said: "We were well prepared for the Olympic traffic which has actually turned out to be better than expected.
"The legacy benefit however is a great tool for anyone planning to travel through these traffic hot spots and will allow motorists to check for possible traffic hold-ups."
The images are updated every 20 minutes and information including traffic congestion, roadworks, car parks and public transport is included.
