Man seriously injured after stabbing

A 20-YEAR-OLD man has been seriously injured in an assault.

Police were called to Burlington Avenue in Slough at 6.25pm yesterday following reports a man had been attacked by a group of men and sustained stab wounds.

The victim was taken to Wexham Park Hospital, where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

Three men, aged 18, 26 and 24 are in police custody after being arrested on suspicion of causing GBH with intent .

A scene watch is currently in place to allow forensic investigators to attend.

Det Sgt Lucy Deane, investigating officer, said: "The investigation is at an early stage, however we do believe this was not a random attack.

"This assault happened in broad daylight in a busy street and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed it or has any information which may help with the investigation to contact me."
