AN ELDERLY woman was attacked after being followed home.

At 1.20pm on Friday last week (20) the victim was followed by another woman to her home, in St Peter's Close, Burnham.

The offender went inside the house and pushed the elderly woman over, before fleeing empty-handed.

The victim was not injured.

Detective Constable Daniel Spiers said: "Although this incident is very rare I would ask that members of the public stay vigilant when walking home.

"If someone feels they are being followed then they should go to a public space or community focal point such as a shop, public house or similar where you they can inform someone and a call can be made to the police in a safe environment."

The offender is Asian, 5ft 6ins, of slim build and was wearing a dark coat.

Contact police on 101 or anonymously on 0800 555111 with information.
