A WOMAN whose car went into a traffic light was taken to hospital as a precaution after complaining of neck pain.

Firefighters removed the back seats of her Daewoo Matiz to take her out through the boot on a spinal board.

The car seemed to have been travelling along Reading Road from Wokingham when it turned right into Robinhood Lane in Winnersh and hit the light.

It happened just before 9am today (Saturday) and the turning into Robinhood Lane was closed for about half an hour while a crew from Wokingham Road Fire Station was at the scene.
