Question time over waste
THERE will be no rubbish advice when the Royal Borough's waste awareness officer holds a drop-in session for residents.
People can ask questions about the council's blue bin recycing scheme, the subscribed green waste collection and home composting discounts at the event tomorrow (Tuesday) at Ascot Durning Library in the High Strteet from 10.30-11.30am.
The officer will also give out tips on how to reduce, reuse and recycle rubbish at home, in the garden and at school or work.

Report commentRubbish is no longer waste. it is a gold mine there are even companies buying old rubbish tips to remove valuable materials for recycling.
Majority of domestic rubbish can be reused or used to produce energy and compost.
The fact that councils continue to call it waste shows out of touch with current thinking the councils are.
Please talk to Poole, Bournemouth, Plymouth council who see domestic household rubbish as an income and method of producing electricity.
Two schemes being proposed for Plymouth and Poole on following Web Site.

Perhaps the councils should employ a waste to energy graduate to give them some advice or approach a waste to energy company. or even "The Carbon Trust" who will give them free advice...........................
