All four remain in police custody.
A post-mortem examination is expected to take place on Monday and formal identification of the victim is not expected before then.
Senior investigating officer, Detective Chief Inspector Joe Kidman, said: "The inquiry is in its early stages and we are currently establishing the circumstances of the incident.
"Both victims appear to have stab type injuries. It does appear that the parties involved are known to each other."
