Britain's newest cities celebrate as Reading misses out
BRITAIN'S newest cities are celebrating after piping Reading to the post yesterday.
Reading missed out on its third attempt to become a city. The honour was awarded to Chelmsford in Essex, Perth in Scotland and St Asaph in Wales.

Report commentNow that is just rubbing it in. But granted the better town clearly won. The judges no doubt saw Reading as the multi-cultural third world slum for what it is...
