Crash at crossroads

THREE people were taken to hospital with suspected serious injuries after a two-vehicle crash at a crossroads last night (Wednesday).

Five people were injured, four of whom needed to be freed by the fire brigade. Three of them were then taken to the Royal berkshire Hospital by ambulance.

The crash involved a car and a van near the junction of Reading Road and Robinhood Lane at 9pm.

A road closure was in place until 5am.
