CHARITY do-gooders and bargain spotters had a spring in their step when Age Concern held a jumble sale.
The spring fair was held at the Spencer Denney community centre, on Park Corner, off Clewer Hill Road, Windsor, on Saturday, March 10, with around 100 people showing up to pick up a good deal.
The charity raised £551.61 through sales and donations, with stalls at the fair including jewellery, artwork and clothes.
David Shaw, a trustee of Age Concern in Windsor who helped out on the day, was delighted with the haul but wants to encourage more people to become a friend of the centre and help out as best they can.
He said: "We were very pleased. We could have edone with a few more people at some point but it brought people connected with Age Concern together.
"There were some great items on sale, such as old artwork that people don't want anymore.
"We would like to have more friends in the centre. People who want to contribute and be part of our events, of which the next one is the annual ball at the Castle Hotel on November 24."
