Books are brought to life

HARRY Potter, Batman and Spongebob Squarepants in the same room can only mean one thing - World Book Day.

Pupils at Holly Spring Junior School brought a variety of characters to life on Friday last week.

The whole school, in Lily Hill Road, Bullbrook, took part, with teachers also dressing up as their favourite book character to mark the nationally recognised day.

Headteacher Patricia Donkin said: "It was brilliant and all the children really got into their characters.

"The children worked with local author Keith Sheppard and we had a story teller in the afternoon. There were some ingenious costumes. It was a bit different from normal."
