AN up-and-coming popstar has apologised to fans at a Windsor school after cancelling a gig due to a double booking.

Taylor Bright was due to perform at Dedworth Middle School on Wednesday, but cancelled on Tuesday afternoon.

The 16-year-old was booked to film for a chart show programme at the same time and was unable to rearrange a time with the school in Smiths Lane. But to the delight of children in Slough she arranged a last minute performance at The Priory School later that day.

She said: "I was really disappointed when I heard we would have to cancel the visit to Dedworth Middle School, I was really looking forward to meeting the kids and performing some of my songs for them. I'm so glad that I was still able to visit a school in the Berkshire area later in the day and am looking forward to coming back soon!"

The popstar tipped to be America's latest pop teen sensation was due to visit the school in Windsor as part of a tour of UK schools promoting her new single.

Staff and pupils at The Priory School in Slough were delighted to welcome the singer.

Zoe Kirby from the school in Orchard Avenue said: "The children were so excited. All the teachers told their classes about her and her songs. We were very lucky to have her here."
