Mum, dad and son jailed for drug dealing

A FAMILY of drug dealers who hid heroin and cocaine in their underwear have been jailed.
Michael McEwan, 36, Joanne Hamilton, 39 and their son Andrew McEwan, 22 all pleaded guilty to possession of class A drugs with intent to supply at Reading Crown Court on Friday.
Andrew was caught on July 20 after police officers pulled over the car he was travelling in New Forest Ride and noticed that he seemed sweaty and nervous. They then found he had bags in his tracksuit bottoms and underpants that contained cocaine and heroin.
Four days later, police stopped a car his parents were travelling in The Ring and found crack cocaine in the car and heroin in Hamilton's underwear.
The seizure of the drugs - worth £2,330 - came about after neighbours who lived near the family in Earlswood, Birch Hill contacted police.
PC Hayley Burns, investigating officer, said: "There had been problems with suspected drug dealing in the Earlswood area of Bracknell for some time, with concerned members of the community reporting noise, disruption and constant coming and going from the McEwan's home.
"Drug dealing will not be tolerated in Bracknell, and these substantial sentences show that it is taken very seriously by the courts."
Michael was given four years and three months in prison, Hamilton four years and Andrew three years eight months.
