Church's plans to go before council

PLANS to demolish and rebuild an ageing church building in Dedworth are expected to be given the green light by the Royal Borough next week.

An application for a £680,000 new building for Dedworth Green Baptist Church, which was partly destroyed by a fire in 2000, will be considered by the planning panel on Wednesday (08/07).

Planning officers have recommended that permission is granted at the meeting held at Windsor Guildhall.

The proposed low profile building, designed and built by Wessex Frames Buildings, is said to make the best use of the site and incorporates different sized multi-use spaces suitable for a wide variety of community uses, including Sunday worship.

The meeting will be held at 7pm. To view the plans, for which the application number is 09/01009, visit www.rbwm.gov.uk
