MP Jonathan Shaw and MP Fiona Mactaggart with the SEGRO team.
THE Minister for the South East visited local businesses to hear what help they need during the economic downturn.
MP Jonathan Shaw met small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) at Slough Trading Estate on Wednesday where he learned more about SEGRO"s £600m Vision for the Future.
He said: 'It is really encouraging to see how SEGRO is working to improve skills and training for businesses in the Slough area. Through their work with the Slough Skills Initiative and their plans to work with other agencies they will be making a real difference to local businesses - helping to provide the skills and training local people need to improve their employment prospects.
'I was particularly pleased to have the opportunity to speak to a range of SMEs operating from the Slough Trading Estate and was keen to hear first hand some of their concerns on issues they face relating to the economic downturn.'
