Comic Relief is renowned for getting celebrities to do funny things for charity. And this year's aim of 'being funny for money' got no better than when James Corden's Smithy (from Gavin and Stacey) ended up at a posh hotel doing a plumbing job and met the entire England squad...

If you saw nothing else of Comic Relief, then this eight minutes is the bit to watch - for the humour, for the footballers trying their hardest not to laugh, and for the 'tactics' board John Terry was writing on when Smithy came in.
