A BABY and its mother were both injured in a hit and run last night.
The 11-month-old boy banged his head after the pram toppled to the floor after his mum was struck by a large vehicle while crossing Russell Street at the junction of Bath Road at 6.30pm.
While the 29-year-old mother sustained minor injuries after being knocked to the floor, neither of them needed to go to hospital.
The car, believed to be a dark brown BMW X5 or X6, failed to stop after striking the pair near the road island.
Police are keen to speak to a woman in a black Mini Cooper who stopped to help the mother and baby.
