A MAN was trapped beneath a car after it left the road and ploughed into a bush this afternoon.
At around 3pm a cream and black Mini Cooper was driving along Queens Road, between Sidmouth Street and the Lyndhurst pub, when it left the road, striking a signpost before colliding with a pedestrian - trapping his left leg beneath the car.
Firefighters from Caversham Road and Wokingham Road rushed to the scene and had to cut away some bushes before carefully lifting the front end of the car to free the man.
The man, believed to be in his twenties, was taken to hospital with injuries to his left leg.
