BURGLARS who stole a car from a Whitley home were last seen fleeing on foot after they crashed it less than two hours later.
At around 10.15am today the back door of a house in Whitley Wood Road was forced open and mobile phones, car keys and a purple and blue Mini Cooper S left outside the home were stolen.
But less than two hours later at around 11.39am the car was crashed in Westcote Road at the junction with Southcote Lane and two men were seen getting out the car and fleeing on foot from the scene.
Police are appealing for witnesses who saw the crash or anything suspicious in the area to call them on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
