MOTORISTS are being warned roads across West Berkshire have been shut this afternoon by flooding.
The routes which have been closed are:
Long Lane, Tilehurst
Deans Copse Road
Hanger Lane
Bottom Lane
Sulhamstead Hill
Ufton Lane
Padworth Lane
Wasing Lane
Water levels are due to continue to rise because more rain is forecast for tonight and tomorrow.
A total of eight flood warnings – the second most severe form of alert available – remain in place across Berkshire, on the River Kennet from Theale to Reading, including Burghfield, Calcot, Southcote and The Oracle, the Thames at Purley village and from Shiplake to Bolney Court, including Lower Shiplake and Wargrave, and Scours Lane to Caversham Lakes; the River Loddon at Twyford, Charvil and Wargrave, Arborfield and Shinfield, Lower Earley and Sindlesham including Earley, and Winnersh and Woodley.
