FIREFIGHTERS attended a car fire on the M3 earlier today (Monday).
Crews were called out to the blaze - between Junction three, near Bagshot, and Junction two, near Chertsey - at around 2pm today.
The engine compartment of the car - which was towing a caravan - had caught fire, but was on the hard shoulder by the time fire crews arrived.
Watch manager Dave Good, from Egham, said: “We used two breathing apparatuses and one hose reel to put it out.
“It wasn’t a bad fire, it was very wet out there, and no one was injured.”
Crews from Egham, Chertsey and Camberley attended, and spent around half an hour at the scene.
