TWO business park developers have merged.
Denton and Gibson which helped build Theale Lakes has become a subsidiary of Country Estates Holdings which owns Calleva Park in Aldermaston, Horseshoe Park in Pangbourne and Albury Close on the Battle Farm Estate. Bill Phelps will remain chairman of Country Estates while Graham Denton and Gary Smith become joint managing directors.
The move, according to Country Estates chairman Bill Phelps, will help exploit new opportunities in the recession.
He said: 'We have an established stock of attractive premises. We already have schemes in the pipeline, don"t need to take any risks, and we will now be in a positive position when the recovery begins.'
The new company will manage a total of 1.5 million sq ft on 15 business parks.
