THIS IS the heart-warming moment a Burger King worker got engaged - during the middle of her shift.
The so-far unidentified staff member at the Wokingham Burger King’s boyfriend came into the store on Thursday April 12.
The member of staff said yes, prompting a fanatical response from customers.
Jade Sirmon, 16, described witnessing the engagement.
She said: “It was at around a quarter to four in the afternoon.
“I was just sat here with my Dad and my Nan, and the man came in with some flowers.
“He came in with a big bunch of flowers and then just proposed.
“I think a few of the staff members knew it was coming, but they all seemed really excited.
“She said yes straight away and they had a kiss and a cuddle which was really nice.
“Then she just went back into work, he went back into the back room to help put the flowers away, before he left.”
Customers in the restaurant at the time shared the excitement.
Jade explained: “Everyone gathered around to watch, and cheered.
“A few people went up to him afterwards to congratulate him.”
Burger King issued no comment when contacted.
