RESIDENTS at a care home in Wokingham welcomed some four-legged visitors earlier this month in celebration of National Pet Day.
A cat, dog, kitten, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens and a lamb were the centre of attention at Alexandra Grange Care Home, in Oaklands Drive, on Wednesday, April 11 as residents and relatives were given the chance to learn more about their new friends.
The visit was organised by Browells Pet Therapy, which enabled the residents to safely handle the animals.
Lifestyles Team Leader at the care home, Nicci Ashton said: “The residents here have thoroughly enjoyed seeing the animals today.
“It brought back so many memories for many of the residents and they loved being able to interact with the animals and learn more about them.”
