SCHOOLCHILDREN from around the town have been given the chance to decorate the new shopping centre.

Celebrating one month since The Lexicon opened, the artwork, named 'My Bracknell', has been produced by year seven and eight students from Garth Hill, Edgebarrow, Sandhurst, Brakenhale, Ranelagh and Easthampstead Park.

Mrs Saunders, Head of Art, at Garth Hill College said: “All 30 students from year 7 and 8, worked incredibly hard in art club after school to create an amazing art piece for The Lexicon.”

The artwork follows a theme of highlighting points of interest in Bracknell, as well as the leisure, history and fashion of the town.

Sue Boor, Head of Marketing at The Lexicon says: “We are delighted with the time and effort that the local secondary school students have taken to produce such detailed, colourful art speech marks encompassing what The Lexicon means to them.

"With so many different styles and themes, the artwork perfectly complements The Lexicon and its surrounding areas and is sure to become a big talking point!”
