PUPILS scrambled under nets and scaled a hay bale tower as part of a muddy obstacle course.

Following the heroic efforts of parents at Cranbourne Primary School in Winkfield who took on the Tough Mudder course in Henley last weekend, their offspring decided to get involved.

On May 19 more than 200 little ones took part in a Mini Mudder on the school field.

Ruth Huckle, headteacher, said: “ It was heavy rain all morning, however, by some miracle, by the time the parents came on to the field, the sun was shining and everybody was raring to go.

"A busy and exhausting afternoon for some, but it was voted a massive hit by the children. The wetter they were from the water obstacles, the happier they seemed to be.

"It was lovely to see such a good turnout."

By the time the tyre tunnels had been traversed and the climbing wall conquered, £3000.00 had been raised for the school.
