CONSTRUCTION workers accidentally caused a small roof fire in Bracknell this afternoon.
A crew from the station rushed to Manston Drive at around 2.30pm after flames broke out.
Watch manager Tim Weeks said: "They were laying a flat roof and it had caught the felt underneath the tiles.
"We were there for about an hour as we had to take a few of the tiles out and make the scene safe. We also sent two breathing apparatus into the building with the hose reel to put the fire out.
"The workers had already got down off the scaffolding so did not need to be evacuated."
