A CONSTRUCTION firm has built bridges with an arts centre through a generous donation.
Francis Construction, which is currently working on the impressive new pavilion in Great Hollands, handed over a cheque for £500 to the Bracknell Town Mayor, Cllr Sandra Ingham for her charity, Youth at South Hill Park Arts Centre.
The mayor is supporting three youth programmes during her year in service: 11/17 weekly drop-in sessions for creative young people, Wilde About Arts for our more vulnerable youth and MOLE - the young producers programme which this summer has welcomed 500 local primary school children to South Hill Park to experience the arts.
Cllr Ingham said: "I am delighted to receive a £500 donation from Francis Construction in support of my Mayor's Charity, Youth programmes at South Hill Park Arts Centre.
"These programmes are good for our young people because they build resilience and self-confidence, friendships are forged and social skills enhanced at a time which may be difficult or stressful for some. In supporting local young people in this way we help to create a better local community.
"I am also organising a charity quiz night including buffet and prizes on Friday, September 7 at7pm and tickets for this may be booked via South Hill Park box office with all proceeds going to South Hill Park Youth programmes."
