Parents are being reminded to take advantage of a scheme to help pay for children’s holiday clubs, giving them a much-needed respite.

Slough Borough Council is reminding parents they can use Tax Free Childcare, worth up to £2,000 per child per year, to help send their children to regulated holiday clubs over the holidays.

Parents that pay into their childcare account can save up to pay for childcare over the holidays, using any one of the 58,000 providers across the UK that have signed up to receive the tax-free payments.

Parents can also sign up for 30 hours free childcare at the same time.

Cllr Shabnum Sadiq said: “We want to raise awareness of the support that is available and encourage parents to use their Tax-Free Childcare to help with the cost of holiday clubs, as well as reminding parents to sign up for their free 30 hours childcare.”
