SHOPPERS at an antiques and craft centre in Warfield had quite a surprise as the presenters of a television show dropped by for some bargain hunting.
Antiques expert James Braxton, and Countryfile and Radio 4 presenter Charlotte Smith, visited The Old Grain Barn at Moss End Garden Village on Monday (4) as part of the BBC series Celebrity Antiques Road Trip.
Arriving in a striking vintage MGC, the duo browsed the antiques on offer in the hope of scooping a vintage bargain. The show will see them take their finds to auction, where they hope to make a profit to donate to charity.
Stuart Saunders, who is part of the centre’s management, said: “This is the second visit from the BBC to film for the Celebrity Antiques Road Trip which is extremely beneficial in terms of publicity for a successful local independent business such as the Old Grain Barn and is an endorsement for all the hard work of our 19 traders specialising in antiques and vintage items.”
