Good guys and bad guys from the Star Wars films forgot their differences over the Bank Holiday weekend when they got together to support a new children’s hospice.

They joined Fiona Devine, who is chief executive of the Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service, at the Legoland theme park in Winkfield Road, Windsor.

It was all to celebrate Legoland’s £15,000 donation towards the new children’s hospice that the Devine charity is opening in Maidenhead this spring.

The Windsor theme park's divisional director Simon Lane was there too.

Mrs Devine said: “It was an absolute delight to meet with our good friends R2D2, Storm Troopers and the staff at the Legoland Windsor Resort. Their incredible support means together we are making magical moments for our very special children.”

Legoland regularly arranges days out for the families the Devine charity supports. It is also creating a sensory garden for the new hospice via its children’s charity Merlin’s Magic Wand.
