Cippenham's Earl of Cornwall pub was still taped off this morning following an incident last night.
Police vehicles and a large police presence were clearly visible on the pub's large forecourt with uniformed officers busily co-ordinating activities.
Resham Singh Sunnar, who owns the Sunner News store only yards from the pub in Cippenham Lane, said he looked out of his upstairs window at about 11.45pm and saw two ambulances and five or six police car outside the pub.
He said: "I looked again at about 4.15am and they were still there.
"Everyone coming in has been asking me what has happened and I can't tell them. But police are still there this morning."
So far there has been comment from police or the Green King brewery as to the nature of the incident.
