FIREFIGHTERS worked to extinguish a 150-meter wide patch of burning vegetation today.
An area of land 150 meters long and 50 meters deep caught alight beside Littlebrook Avenue, Slough, today (Thursday).
Two fire engines from Slough Fire Station were deployed, and the fire was extinguished in under 45 minutes. The flames were not big, but due to the tightly packed nature of the vegetation it did spread fast.
The precise cause of the fire was unknown.
