TRAINS are still being delayed due to a fault on the line at Bracknell.

A train from London Waterloo to Reading has broken down on the line between Wokingham and Bracknell, meaning trains following behind are being delayed.

At midday, more than two hours after the train left, commuters were forced to leave the train and get onto a replacement that had pulled up behind, taking everyone on the train back to Bracknell.

Emma Hollis is on the train currently and had been stuck since 9.47, with no power, heating, lights or toilets.

She said: "It was coming up towards Wokingham and suddenly stopped like the brakes had been slammed on, now we're stuck here for hours waiting for an engineer.

"No announcement was made as no power for the tannoy but guard has walked down the train keeping us informed, it left Bracknell at 9:47 so been stuck 30 minutes so far

"Just been told by the guard that the nearest engineer is in Wimbledon so have a very long wait."

Commuters are being warned that they face delays due to the incident.

South West Trains tweeted: "Due to a broken down train between Ascot and Reading the Reading-bound line is blocked. Train services running to and from these stations may be delayed or revised. Disruption is expected until 13:00 19/03."

National Rail has been contacted for comment.
