A FAMILY was threatened and burgled by armed men who stormed their home.

The victim, a 29-year-old man who lives in Bishops Orchard, Farnham Royal, was robbed by the two men at 9.30pm on Tuesday, January 16.

He was at home with this three-year-old daughter, his friend and his brother when the two men, one armed with a knife and the other with a hammer, broke in through the back entrance.

The homeowner, speaking to The Observer, said: “I was watching Monday night football, and I saw a bit of breeze come in through the window - and then the two men broke in through the back, both masked and hooded.

“One of them had an Egyptian dagger, the other had a foot-long hammer.

“One of them asked for gold. They grabbed me and took me to the kitchen. I said I didn’t have any gold, but they could take my money. One of them grabbed by daughter’s iPad, my Playstation and some cash, and they left.”

The victim said he then ran to his mother’s front door to get help as she lives nearby.

He said: “My friend had a knife held to his throat. I hope they get caught. There have been a lot of burglaries in this area, they need to be caught ASAP.

“We were so scared. My daughter cries every night, she doesn’t want to go to bed.”

Investigating officer, Det Con Victoria Bygrave, said: “This was a very distressing incident and I would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this incident, or who has any information.

“If you have any details which you think could help our investigation, please call the Thames Valley Police non-emergency number on 101.”
