IT MIGHT be time to dust off the sledge and unbox your mittens because snow looks destined for Bracknell.
Today the Met Office issues an amber weather alert for the South East.
According to the weather authority, there is a 90 per cent chance of severe cold weather, icy conditions and heavy snow between December 7 and December 12.
While the news may be tonic to the ears of Bracknell's youngsters and winter wonderland lovers, Bracknell Forest Public Health has issued a weather warning to the town's elderly contingent.
A statement on its Facebook page reads: "Older people, very young children, and people with serious medical conditions are particularly vulnerable to the effects of cold weather.
"Please do check on family members, friends and neighbours."
