FIREFIGHTERS raised money for charity by putting on a car wash.
The team at the Ascot fire station on Station Hill, were out washing cars from 11am to 4pm on Saturday November 18.
A suggested £5 donation was listed for each car washed, and the team ploughed on despite the less than fortunate weather.
The funds were being raised for the Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service, in association with the Ascot Heath Infant Playground Project.
Ascot Station Manager Nev Griffiths said: “There was a good turnout from the Ascot public on Saturday, despite the rain.
“A grand total of £730 was raised on the day which will be split between The Fire Fighters Charity and Ascot Heath Infants Playground Project.”
