A 15-year-old boy has been chased by a group of youths and hit on the head with a hammer.
The incident happened in Bantry Road, Slough, at about 7pm to 7.30pm on Thursday, November 9.
The victim sustained minor injuries, was treated at hospital but has since been discharged.
A thorough investigation is underway, including witness statements being taken, forensics being concluded and CCTV opportunities being explored.
The victim is being supported by officers.
