REAL MILAN have maintained their perfect winning start in Division One this season after a 4-2 win away at Langley Galaxy on Sunday.

The defending champions had to put in a good team performance to beat a very tough opponent but Calvin Morgan stole the show as he grabbed a brace at Harvey Park.

Milan went into the game on the back of a good run of results as they faced an inform side who were always going to be tough to beat.

Both sides started well and Langley had the early chances but failed to trouble debutant Milan keeper Juzzy Garcha.

The visitors' first chance fell to Nadir Shafi, who was causing trouble on the wing, but failed to hit the target.

Milan found the breakthrough midway through the first half as Shafi was pushed over in the box and in front of referee Linda Lazenby, who did not hesitate to point to the spot.

Kyle Lucas stepped up and slotted the penalty home, sending the keeper the wrong way.

Milan had now settled into the game and were dictating play, doubling their advantage moments later. Conrad Joseph linked up with Shafi who slotted the ball through to Morgan to calmly break through and finish into the bottom corner.

The away side were enjoying themselves and playing good football, but just before half-time a contentious moment in the game arrived as Langley were awarded a penalty.

Nugy Khan had deemed to have pushed a Galaxy player in the box from a corner. Despite protest from Milan the penalty was give and Gary Ashton made no mistake from the spot.

In the second-half Langley came out at full pace to get to Milan but the champions held firm and dealt with any long aerial threats.

Milan had the luxury of bringing on in-form Umar Riaz from the bench and he had an early chance to increase the lead but saw his effort go over the bar.

Milan did make it 3-1 thanks to a moment of brilliance from Morgan. He picked up the ball from Lucas and drove at the Galaxy defence before cutting in and smashing a thunderous strike into the top corner from inside the box. It was a well deserved goal for the team.

The visitors made it 4-1 as Jack Evans played the ball to Morgan who slipped in Riaz to turn inside his man and smashed a left foot shot into the far corner giving the Galaxy keeper no chance.

Langley did pull another goal back late on as Ashton scored from a free-kick just out side the box, but Milan saw the game out and kept their league winning run going.
