POLICE have released CCTV images of a man they believe may hold crucial information regarding the murder of father, Mohammed Rasheed.

Mr Rasheed was brutally attacked between 1.50am and 2.10am on September 10 and was found in the Goswell Hill service road in Windsor.

Police say the man in the images could be a potential witness to the attack which put Mr Rasheed, 50, in hospital where he died days later.

Investigating officers would like to speak to the man to help the investigation, a statement said.

Detective Chief Inspector Ailsa Kent said: “If you are the man in the images or you recognise him then please contact us on 101 as a matter of urgency.

"We are also appealing more generally to members of the public who were in the service road area at the bottom of Goswell Hill between 1.50am and 2.10am on Sunday, September 10; you may have information about the case and not realise.

“Please think back, do you recall any kind of argument or altercation taking place in that location between those times?

“Please can you check your phones; ask your friends and if you have any information which could help us then please call us on 101 quoting reference URN 929 10/9/17, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously.”

Police had said that Mr Rasheed had been on a night out on the evening of Saturday, September 9 and had been seen in Bar Yello on the main clubbing strip. The father of three, originally from Sri Lanka, would have been celebrating his 51st birthday on September 21.
