We take a look at cases that were heard in the East Berkshire Magistrates Court, on September 1:

DARIUSZ KWIATKOWSKI, 37, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to failing to provide a breath sample to police when ordered to do so, after being stopped by the officers in Bridge Road, Maidenhead. He was ordered to complete 60 hours of unpaid work, and had his driving licence suspended for 18 months. Additionally, he was required to pay £85 in costs and a £85 victim surcharge.

CHRISTOPHER KEVIN RIDLEY, 37, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to stealing a set of spanners from a hardware shop in Slough. He was fined £100 and a £30 victim surcharge.

AARON EDWARD WARNER, 25, of Bannister Close, Slough, pleaded guilty to driving while under the influence of alcohol. He was fined £461, a £46 victim surcharge and £85 costs. He was also disqualified from driving for 16 months.

PAWEL JERZY WYSOCKI, 31, of Common Road, Slough, pleaded guilty to driving while under the influence of alcohol and driving without a valid licence. He was fined £120, £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge. He was also disqualified from driving for 18 months.

JAHIDUL ALI, 26, of Blenheim Road, Maidenhead, pleaded not guilty to driving a vehicle while under the influence of cannabis. He was found guilty, and fined £90, a £30 victim surcharge and £50 costs. He was disqualified from driving for 36 months.

SUZANNE HERNE, 37, of Glentworth Place, Slough, pleaded guilty to assaulting two police officers and another woman in Windsor. She was ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge, and discharged conditionally for six months.

SOHAIL TAJ, 23, of Gaveston Road, Slough, pleaded guilty to driving while under the influence of cannabis, and to failing to provide a breath sample for analysis. He was sentenced to three months in prison, as he had committed the offence while under a previous community order that was imposed due to him destroying another person’s phone and assaulting a police officer. He was also disqualified from driving for three years. He was additionally required to pay a £115 victim surcharge.

ARDI AHMED, 21, of Farnburn Avenue, Slough, was found guilty in his absence for travelling on a train without holding a valid ticket. He was fined £220 and was made to pay costs of £160, a victim surcharge of £30, and £2.70 in compensation.
