SUMMER is officially over as the final Summer of Fun event was held this week.
Crowds flocked to North Lake, South Hill Park where, despite the bleak forecast, exhibitors wanted to show their support and provide a variety of activities for children.
Residents came prepared in wellington boots and rain coats to explore the array of activities.
Town Mayor Cllr Clive Harrison was also in attendance as he collected funds for his mayoral charities Triple A and Keep Mobile. Both charities held stalls to raise funds with raffle prizes and a selection of delicious cakes for sale.
Children got creative with various stalls offering arts and crafts, learn karate skills, while birds of prey were popular along with the inflatable fun, climbing wall, laser tag and learning circus skills. Fishing coaches were also on hand for one to one fishing in North Lake.
Event organiser Laura Boorman said: "We would like to thank all those who have supported the events and those who attended. We believe it’s all about being part of something in the community, coming together to enjoy the area we live in."
