Author Kathryn Freeman, 52, is celebrating the publication of her new book this week - written with motor racing superstar Jenson Button at her side.
The lifesize cardboard cut out of Button was with her as she worked on Before You -  all about a Delta racing team.
Ms Freeman said: “Having Jenson at my side - or more often, looking over my shoulder as I wrote - was what led me to write Before You. The fact that my whole family - I have two teenage sons - are huge F1 racing fans helped but Jenson was my writing muse on this one.”
Ms Freeman, who lives in Wraysbury, studied pharmacy but now writes full time, juggling medical writing with women’s fiction.

No-one in the family minds her fondness for the cardboard Jenson.

She said: "In fact it was my husband who brought it home for me. He knew I was a fan. It was quite possibly the most romantic thing he's ever done."

As well as celebrating the paperback release of Before You on Tuesday, Ms Freeman also celebrates the Digital First release of a new novel, Too Damn Nice.

Before You began life online before becoming such a success that earned this week's paperback publication.
