AS THE summer continues to bubble on quite satisfactorily and the school holidays begin in proper, Norden Farm Centre for Arts’ seasonal lineup kicks off.

A clear highlight last year, the Hawaiian Elvis themed beach is back and again providing the perfect location for coastal chill-outs for grown-ups and seaside fun for children. Adults can while away a summer’s day relaxing at a beachside Café Bar table while the little ones play in the sand. The fun filled grand opening of The Maidenhead Beach takes place on Tuesday, July 25 from 10am, with the beach open every day from 10am to 4pm until Sunday 27 August. Admission is free.

Take life at a gentler pace in the Gallery’s Secret Cove where punters can decorate fish of the deep and add them to the ocean walls. The exhibition features beautiful birds and tropical textiles, woven by children from local primary schools. You can also explore the sensory cave made specially for children with special educational needs and disabilities.

Bracknell News:

Circus week

Every Monday to Saturday little ones can enjoy Storytelling in Elvis’ air stream trailer at 1.30pm and 3.30pm (£2 per person) and Beach Craft sessions at 10.30am (£5 per child).

Whether your children are more into the circus, art, or theatre, Norden Farm has a summer activity to suit everyone, as well as weekly Digi Den drop-in sessions for children interested in digital arts.

Family films are screened throughout the holidays. Highlights include Oscar nominated animation My Life as a Courgette, a sing along of the latest Disney classic Moana, the untouchable Minions and Gru reappearing in Despicable Me 3 and the return of everybody’s favourite animated car, Lightning McQueen, in Cars 3.

Live shows include a family friendly music gig courtesy of Rock ‘n’ Roll Concertini with Matt Bond and The Poor Boys. Fans of puppetry can enjoy Higgledy Piggledy Pie and a fresh take on two classic tales from Little Red Robin Hood.

Norden Farm’s family friendly Café Bar is open all day and features a special children’s menu.
