A LUCKY young boy was given the trip of a lifetime to his Year Six prom.

Taylor Russell, 11, had not always had the best time with his classmates.

So when he arrived at his Year Six prom in the front of a Ferrari, it was the perfect way to draw a line under his time at primary school.

Taylor's mother, Natasha, said: "He had not had a very good time in Year Six.

"I just wanted to do something a bit special for him."

Mrs Hodgson decided to post on the 'We Love Bracknell' Facebook page to see if anyone could help her out.

Bracknell News:

"Lots of people got back to me, and I left it down to Taylor to decide which car he wanted to choose," she continued.

"One young couple came round in a Mitsubishi Evo and we thought we were going to go with that, until Craig Allen contacted me about the Ferrari."

Mr Allen offered up his supercar to take young Taylor to his prom after seeing the post online.

He said: "I was notified of the post on Facebook by a friend and realised the prom was at the same primary school I used to go to.

"Having grown up in a street where a neighbour owned a Ferrari in the 80's, I was always fascinated with the brand and aspired to own one.

"I met Natasha and her family, had a chat and drove around the block to the prom.

"What really struck me was the sheer amount of support and offers Natasha experienced, a real variety of cars and kind suggestions through the 'We Love Bracknell' Facebook page."

Mrs Hodgson said: "I didn't expect anyone to reply, and then the messages just kept coming and coming.

"People were making fun of Taylor for what he would turn up in, then he arrived in the Ferrari."

Mr Allen even gave Taylor a toy Ferrari to celebrate the event and rejected all offers of payment.
