EIGHT Berkshire businesswomen have been named best in the country. 

They've scooped accolades at the National Venus Awards Finals 2017.

Regional Winners of Berkshire Venus Awards triumph with eight winners in the NatWest Venus Awards 2017 National Finals.

The National Venus Awards, now in their 8th year, celebrate the success of with regional winners. Berkshire winners from the NatWest Thames Valley Venus Awards in association with Marshall Volkswagen competed to become National Winners.

The Venus Awards National Finals saw over 50 regional winners contend in their respective categories for a coveted National Venus Award trophy. 

Sharing their experiences of overcoming adversity, building success and transforming lives with the assembled guests were inspiring speakers Seema Flower, Founder and Managing Director of Blind Ambition Business Consultancy, Sue Stone, Life Style Coach, Business Mentor and Motivational Speaker and Tara Howard, Founder of Venus Awards.

Of the National Finals, Venus Awards Founder Tara Howard, herself a business woman and mother of four, said: “My hope for the National Finals day was that everyone left a little bit more motivated than when they arrived, I can’t wait for next year! I would like the essence of Venus to help women in countries and regions where choice is not an option, we are very lucky as women in the Western world and we have proved it here today. It is one step at a time and the help that is put in to get us there is so appreciated.”

Berkshire Winner, Atuksha Poonwassie of Simple Backing, National Winner of Influential Woman of the Year said of the awards, “Wow, I am a bit shell shocked! I am a true believer in that anything is possible. I have won this award, which is amazing. I love it, thank you so much Tara!”

Berkshire Winner, Sam Bramwell of Microsoft, National Winner of Manager of the Year said of the Venus Awards journey, “Thank you so much! This has been an amazing journey, having self-belief is important to me and this has put me on a journey of self-belief. You can do anything if you put your mind to it!”

2017 Berkshire National Winners:

Atuksha Poonwassie of Simple Backing & Simple Equity won the category of Influential Woman of the Year.

Tracey Rawling Church of KYOCERA Document Solutions UK Ltd won the category of High Achiever.

Sam Bramwell of Microsoft won the category Manager of the Year.

Cheryl Adams of Santander won the category Director of the Year.

Reading Buses won the category Company of the Year.

Catherine Turner of Rapid Search and Interim & Firefly Human Capital won the category Business Mother of the Year.

Rachel Tombs of Links2Leads won the category Networker of the Year.

Nicky Larkin of Goringe Accountants won the category Professional of the Year.
