PUPILS were transported back to the post war period in celebration of a Sunninghill school's seventieth birthday at its current site.

On June 27 the girls and staff of The Marist School dressed in period clothing and toasting the milestone.

As well as participating in special WW2 themed lessons and discovering more about the 1940s in lessons, the whole school enjoyed a picnic on the sports fields followed by marching drills, posture activities and hopscotch.

"Our ’70 Years in Sunninghill’ celebrations provided a fantastic opportunity for the school to come together to mark this important milestone and to say thank you to the local Sunninghill community.

"We look forward to many more wonderful years at our site here in Sunninghill.”
