FIREFIGHTERS swapped their hoses for sponges as they ran a charity car wash to raise money for victims of the Grenfell Tower disaster.
Fire crews at Bracknell Fire Station got soaked in suds throughout the weekend in the first of a selection of charity events to raise much needed funds for the Grenfell Tower residents.
Across the weekend there was an array of fete visits to car washes to collections. Bracknell and Ascot and Crowthorne were part of the Royal Berkshire Fire And Rescue crews that got involved to raise money for the fund.
The weekend raised approximately £25,000 for the fund which will help all those affected by the tragic fire in North Kensington.
